Jong Kam Lake

Reflections on the lake
Two temples reflected in the lake in the evening

In a depression just south of the main center of Mae Hong Son is the small lake of Jong Kam. The lake is completely surrounded by a public park, making it a pleasant place to cool off later in the day.

To the south of the lake are two of the city's main temples, Wat Jong Kam and Wat Jong Klang. The north and eastern shores have more space, including exercise areas. You will often see some people jogging and exercising here in the evening.

To the west are a couple of restaurants that can be nice places to eat and spend the evening. The streets along the west and north sides of the lake are where many of the city's guest houses are located.
